Treasurer-Elect Curtis Loftis Thanks Chairman Floyd for Service to State Republican Party
Chairman Karen Floyd of the South Carolina Republican Party announced Wednesday that she will not seek another term as Chairman. Treasurer-Elect Loftis issued the following statement.
“It is with profound gratitude that I thank Chairman Floyd for her service to the South Carolina Republican Party. During her tenure she accomplished many significant goals. Foremost, the SCGOP Headquarters debt was paid off and named in honor of Roger Milliken. Several county-wide headquarters opened across the state as the party continued to strengthen. The results of the 2010 election are her most significant accomplishment and will forever be her legacy. Republicans won all nine constitutional offices, unseated a 28 year incumbent U.S. Congressman, and increased the size of state legislature. Chairman Floyd will be remembered for her tenacity and love of the Republican Party. I thank her for her service.”
