Columbia, S.C.- South Carolina Republican Party Chairman Chad Connelly today blasted S.C. Democratic Party Chairman Dick Harpootlian for comparing Governor Nikki Haley to Eva Braun, Hitler’s mistress.

“With unemployment at record levels, a debt crisis looming, and President Obama underwater in the polls, it’s no surprise that the President’s hand-picked South Carolina Chairman, Dick Harpootlian, would stoop to such a new low. All the Democrats have is these smoke screens to distract from the real issue- that President Obama has led America to the edge of ruin and will lose in November.

“I am disgusted by Harpootlian’s comparison. He should apologize immediately,” said Chairman Connelly.
