In accordance with state law and South Carolina Republican Party Rules, and on behalf of the South Carolina Republican Party, it is our pleasure to announce the convening of the 2016 South Carolina Republican Party State Convention for the purposes of electing national delegates and alternates, national committee members, and transacting other such business as may properly come before the convention.

The 2016 State Convention will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center located at 1101 Lincoln Street, Columbia, S.C. 29201. Check-in for delegates and alternates will begin at 8:30 AM; the Convention will convene promptly at 10:00 AM.

For more information on the State Convention, please click here. We will post the proposed convention agenda, officers, standing rules, and resolutions as they become available (all within 72 hours of the Convention).

We have been able to keep the registration fee for delegates and alternates at $35 per person again this year. We urge you and delegates/alternates to register and pay the registration fee online in advance, in order to expedite the check-in process. Guests and members of the public will be permitted to watch the proceedings at no charge. We anticipate a full and exciting program as our party’s leaders from across the state adopt a platform that states the principles we stand for, consider rule changes, approve resolutions, and hear from our elected leaders.
