Press Release: SCGOP to Live Stream State Convention in Virtual Reality

Columbia, S.C. – SCGOP Chairman Matt Moore today announced that the S.C. Republican Party will live stream in virtual reality (VR) its state convention to be held this Saturday, May 7. Anyone with a VR headset, smartphone or personal computer can tune in beginning at 9:45 A.M. to see and hear the entire state convention in complete 360 degree virtual reality. Saturday’s live stream marks the first time that a Republican Party convention will be live streamed in virtual reality.

“Live streaming our state convention in virtual reality shows the Republican Party’s commitment to both transparency and innovative technology,” said Chairman Moore. “People across the state and nation can watch our state convention in 360 degree clarity to see self government in action. We are thrilled to give viewers this inside look at how national delegates are elected by their fellow citizens.”

The VR live stream will begin at 9:45 A.M. May 7, 2016 at https://sc.gop/stateconvention and can also be seen on the state party’s YouTube channel at https://youtube.com/TheSCGOP.
