Republicans picked up big wins in municipal races across the state

(Columbia, S.C.) – Republicans all across the state picked up big wins in municipal races. See below for SCGOP Chairman Drew McKissick’s full statement:

“We’ve proven over and over that voters are not buying what Democrats are selling,” said SCGOP Chairman Drew McKissick. “Congratulations to the newly elected Republican Georgetown city council members and mayor-elect Carol Jayroe, all the Republicans who won in New Ellenton and the City of Aiken, Republican Jim Bannister who won Public Works Commissioner in the city of Greenville, and Republican Florence County Councilman-elect Tony Moore.

“And a special congratulations to two members of our State Executive Committee on winning their races, Tyler Jordan for Walhalla City Council, and Amy Williams for Pickens County School Board District 7.

“2020 was the most winningest cycle for South Carolina Republicans in more than 140 years. It’s clear voters across the state support our issues and will reject Democrats’ radical agenda at ever step. We look forward to continuing this Red Wave into 2022 and 2024.”
