With all of the challenges we face as a state and as a nation, sometimes it is easy to lose sight of the fact that we are truly the most blessed country on the earth.

Today we are thankful for our friends and neighbors, to whom we are far more united by our commonalities than we could ever be by our differences.

Today we are thankful for a nation where we are free to disagree.

Today we are thankful for the tens of thousands of soldiers who are putting themselves in harm’s way to protect and defend that freedom.

Today we are thankful for our Party activists, who pour their time, energy and talents into a movement that is bigger than any one of us individually.

Today we are thankful for our elected officials, who lead through service to all of us.

Most of all, today we are thankful for all of God’s blessings, and for our families to share them with.
