Beaufort County Resolution Regarding Trailer Laws

This below resolution was passed at the Beaufort county convention, and will now go to the resolutions committee. If the resolutions committee passes it, the resolution will be up for a vote at the state convention. However, before the resolutions committee votes, they want to know your opinion. WHEREAS: Beaufort County Republican Party Precinct St. Helena Island 1-C holding the precinct reorganization meeting on March 1, 2001, and

WHEREAS: South Carolina law does not require trailer lights and licensing on all towed vehicles, and trailers without lights, turn signals, and stop lights are a potential danger to other drivers, and

WHEREAS: Every citizen of South Carolina who is using public roads should be expected to pay his fair share through licensing fees, and

BE IT RESOLVED: That the South Carolina Legislature amend the present trailer laws to include all towed vehicles.
