Beaufort County Resolution Regarding the Deficit

This below resolution was passed at the Beaufort county convention, and will now go to the resolutions committee. If the resolutions committee passes it, the resolution will be up for a vote at the state convention. However, before the resolutions committee votes, they want to know your opinion. WHEREAS, Beaufort county Republican Party Precinct Hilton Head 6A, holding its Precinct Reorganization Meeting on Monday, February 28, 2011, and

WHEREAS, our Precinct realizes that our country has a tremendous deficit that affects the future of not only the adults of today but our children and grandchildren as well, and

WHEREAS, the US House and Senate accept the practice of “earmarks” added to legislation, and

WHEREAS, they vote of said “earmarks” without debate, therefore

BE IT RESOLVED, legislation be proposed and passed to end “earmarks” as they are currently enacted, and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that each request for Federal Funds be presented for debate on its own merits.
