Courage and Determination

Dear Fellow American,

Ten years have passed since September 11, 2001. On that clear Tuesday morning, terrorists disrupted our freedom-loving country and took the lives of almost 3,000 friends, fathers, brothers, sisters, and mothers. Yet America rose from the ashes with even more courage and determination.

As we mark the anniversary of 9/11, let us remember those souls and their grieving families, let us lift our hearts and prayers to God, and let us again dedicate ourselves to being a light for the world. Let us always remember the ideals that the Founders articulated so well, “that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”

Ours is the city on a hill, shining strong for freedom and liberty. God bless the families who lost loved ones on September 11, 2001, God bless our first responders, God bless our men and women in uniform fighting to preserve our freedoms, and God bless America.
