Weekly Update – Sept. 19, 2014
It was an action packed week at the S.C. Republican Party!
On Monday, The State newspaper published Chairman Matt Moore’s Op-Ed on the popular Uber car service. Chairman Moore said he hopes “South Carolina consumers will continue to make their voices heard and that technological innovation wins out over government regulation.”

Senator Ted Cruz (Texas) and Chairman Moore hosted a Victory 2014 fundraiser luncheon on Monday with over 100 guests. Senator Cruz presented a $10,000 check to support the state party’s Victory 2014 Get-Out-The-Vote campaign!

On Tuesday, Chairman Moore, National Committeewoman Cindy Costa and grassroots activists joined Governor Nikki Haley and Governor Chris Christie (New Jersey) in Charleston. The governors raised funds for Governor Haley’s campaign and the S.C. Republican Party’s Victory 2014 efforts.
Chairman Moore also gave a 2014 election update to Republican members of the S.C. Senate.
On Wednesday, Chairman Moore announced a September 30th “College Tour” with Senator Rand Paul (Kentucky). “College students deserve to have their voices heard in the political process, so our visit to South Carolina’s outstanding colleges and universities to reach them is a natural fit,” said Chairman Moore.

On Thursday, Chairman Moore joined grassroots activists to support Don Weaver at his campaign announcement for Richland County Council.
Later Thursday, Chairman Moore, National Committeewoman Costa and National Committeeman Glenn McCall participated in a phone call with a fellow state party leadership team to discuss the 2016 presidential primary calendar.
