Columbia, S.C. – South Carolina Republican Party Chairman Matt Moore today issued a statement after Governor Nikki Haley, Senator Lindsey Graham, and Senator Tim Scott were re-elected to their respective offices:

“The South Carolina Republican Party worked tirelessly over the past months to elect our ticket led by Governor Haley, Senator Graham and Senator Scott. Our volunteers helped to make over 3 million voter contacts and we leveraged social media and technology to their maximum power. Hundreds of thousands of South Carolinians heard our message of positive, conservative leadership.

“Voters today overwhelmingly recognized the incredible progress we’ve made with Nikki Haley as Governor. Thanks to Governor Haley, South Carolina is now a 21st century leader in jobs and innovation. What a difference she’s making across our state. We’re proud to call her Governor for four more years.

“South Carolinians overwhelmingly voted to send our conservative, problem-solving Senator Lindsey Graham back to the U.S. Senate. America’s future is stronger and safer with Senator Graham in the U.S. Senate.  He’ll play an important role in getting our country back on track.

“Tonight is a historic night in South Carolina. Tim Scott embodies all that is great about our state and I know he’ll continue to make us proud in the U.S. Senate. South Carolinians are truly excited about the leadership of Senator Scott. It showed in today’s election results.”
