Columbia, S.C. – SCGOP Chairman Matt Moore tonight released the following statement on Greenville being chosen to host a February 2016 Republican presidential debate at the Peace Center:

“We are excited to partner with the Republican National Committee and CBS to host a presidential debate just seven days before the South Carolina primary. The economic impact on Greenville and the Upstate will be huge. And as we saw last week, the Republican Party has the largest and most diverse field in its history. The debates will only become more important in deciding our party’s nominee.”
