SC NOW – Republican Donald Trump has narrowed down his vice presidential short-list to a handful of contenders. While the presumptive GOP nominee is known for throwing curveballs, here’s a look at some of the men and women he is said to be considering and has met with recently.
Donald Trump: Republican convention speakers are set
CBS – Donald Trump’s list of speakers at the Republican National Convention this month is “totally filled,” the presumptive GOP nominee said in a tweet Saturday morning.

Paul Ryan, GOP officials blast Clinton over FBI email findings
USA Today – House Speaker Paul Ryan blasted FBI Director James Comey’s decision Tuesday not to recommend charges against Hillary Clinton over her use of a private email server at the State Department, saying the “announcement defies explanation.”
Sen. Lindsey Graham: ‘The American People Will Have the Final Say’
NewsMax – Sen. Lindsey Graham said Tuesday that “the American people will have the final say” in the Hillary Clinton email scandal — not FBI Director James Comey, who said that he would not indict the former secretary of state.
Sen. Scott proposes revoking Hillary Clinton’s security clearance
Charlotte Observer – While Rep. Trey Gowdy was grilling FBI Director James Comey in a hearing Thursday about his finding that there wasn’t sufficient evidence to prosecute Hillary Clinton, his fellow South Carolina Republican, Sen. Tim Scott, was introducing legislation to revoke the former secretary of state’s security clearance.
