The Calhoun Country Republican Party holding the County Convention on Saturday, April 16th, 2011, introduced and passed the following resolution:
Whereas we believe human individuals are more important than other creatures or inanimate objects; and,
Whereas we believe that owners should have to right to utilize their property for their own purposes; and,
Whereas the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is hindering owners in the use of their property and businesses from making a profit by their overly-restrictive and harmful policies; and,
Whereas we believe the EPA is contributing to the unemployment numbers by causing many businesses to go overseas where the governments do not have the strict environmental policies as here; and
Whereas the EPA is not an elected representative of the people, and are making many decisions contrary to the will of the people;
THEREFORE, We resolve that Congress, the official elected representatives of the people, form an oversight committee to closely review the politics of the EPA.
