Governor McMaster’s State of the State address
(Columbia, S.C.) – Governor Henry McMaster delivered his State of the State address this evening. See below for SCGOP Chairman Drew McKissick’s full response:
“While Washington is suffering from the liberal agenda of Joe Biden, South Carolina continues to thrive thanks to the strong Republican leadership of Governor McMaster. In the Executive Budget for FY2024-2025, the Governor prioritizes fiscal responsibility with targeted investments and provides tax relief for South Carolinians. His leadership expands far beyond economic policies, including his unwavering support for law enforcement. The South Carolina Republican Party proudly supports the brave men and women in uniform and commends Governor McMaster’s call to stop the revolving door for repeat offenders. Penalties for violent crimes should deter criminals, not encourage them.”
“Governor McMaster has led our state toward success with every year he’s been in office, and this year will be no different. We’re ready to bring these winning Republican ideals back to the White House in 2024,” said McKissick.
