Last Friday, South Carolina Republicans once again took center stage nationally as U.S. Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) visited our state. We began the day with a fundraiser for the State Party in Greenville where we enjoyed lunch and a special one-on-one session with the Senator and about twenty very generous donors. Dear Fellow Republican, Each Fourth of July we are reminded of the ideals of “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness” that are enshrined so beautifully in our Declaration of Independence. As we celebrate America’s 237th birthday, may we give thanks for the God-given principles of freedom and liberty embraced by our Founding Fathers. Lancaster County Republicans welcome Matt Moore, the new chair of the S.C. Republican Party. Moore replaces Chad Connelly, who just took a role at the Republican National Committee. As the youngest state party chairman in the nation, Moore has a lot of experience under his belt already, having worked as the political director for the S.C. Republican Party, as well as the state director for Sen. Tim Scott.
